They have some unique features never seen before on a brass model (see through steps). Will also post photos of the SP and Rock Island Econonmy Baggage cars and the ACF 10-6 transcontinental pool sleepers. Sorry about the no show models this weekend….. sigh

They will be displaying UTI models and we should have production samples of the SDP45 for your review. There have been over 100 changes implemented on the models since the NMRA and SPHTS shows last year. Delivery is set for late February. We will also have pilot samples of our upcoming run of SP and Rock Island economy baggage cars and transcontinental pool sleepers.

By now most of you have received your cars from our first passenger train project. We have had some very positive feedback, thank you! We have a few of the single cars remaining as well as a couple of sets. Please see your dealer before they are all gone. Our SDP45 project is on track for a February 2010 delivery and we are closing quantities before the end of the year. If you are interested in any of these models please see your dealer soon. There will be very few extras built and we don’t exepect them to last long.

As you know a number of our first project cars required a return trip to Korea for corrections to inter-car electrical connections and window shades. We are happy to report the cars were air shipped back from Korea yesterday (12/1) and are exepcted in Muncie, In. Thursday. They will be inspected and shipping to dealers should commence late this week and early next week. We are truly sorry for the delay. We trust you will be pleased with the results. We have a few of the single cars remaining as well as couple of each version of the sets. Please see your dealer before they are all gone.

The Ortner version of DODX heavy-duty six axle flat cars. These are very unique cars that were built in the mid 1980’s and are used to haul heavy military (usually tracked) vehicles. They can also be configured to carry single level standard ocean going containers. We have posted a couple of photos and have original prototype fabrication drawings in hand. We will offer this model in a number of road numbers for those that may want to do a unit train of military equipment. We are researching the Thrall and FGE versions of this car as well and may include them if appropriate research material can be obtained.
