The transcon sleepers were sent back to Korea to repair an issue with their trucks. They should be back in about 4 weeks.

We are looking to finalize reservations quantities on our next diesel and first freight car project. The SD45R project will include 5 SP versions and 3 MRL versions. Revised model numbers and specific details will be up this later week. The much anticiapted DODX flat car project will be closing quantities in the next 30 days. Help make these projects a reality, place an order with your favorite dealer.

After some last minute delays the SP and Rock Island economy baggage cars and the Transcon pool sleepers shipped from Korea on 12/8. We exepct to see them on the 10th and your dealer should see them late next week. Many of these cars were prodcued in quantities as low as 3 each. They won’t be around for long. The SP and Rock Island economy baggage cars and the transcontinental pool sleepers are shipping from Korea this week. Expect pick up notices early next week with shipment to dealers the week after Thanksgiving. Keep an eye out for an update on the SD45R project plus some news on some of our other long awaited projects plus a couple new items.

We have the production samples in our hands and they are excellent models. I have posted photos of each version on the photos page. Chuck will be at the SP Historical and Technical Society meet at the end of the month in Sacramento with the models for your review. Many of the versions are nearly sold out get your orders in so you don’t miss out. The economy baggage cars have some never before modeled detail on them and the sleepers are beautiful.

For those interested in the upcoming transon sleeper project check out the passenger car list for new car names added to the some of the versions. Many of these models are being produced in quantities of 4 or less. Don’t miss out.

Thank You all for the great response to the SDP45 project. We are sold out on a number of versions and the others are getting low. We had the opportunity to add some additional road numbers to UTI 5003. We added the UTI 5003-3 and UTI 5004-4 and the road numbers are 3201 and 3207 these models are intended to replicate the two SDP45′s that kept their steam generators into the late 80′s for use on the Executive / Business trains. They are modeled in the rebuilt configuration. Only 9 of each were produced. If you model the SP in the late 80′s you might want to have a look at these.
