Economy Baggage Cars and Transcontinental Pool Sleepers

We have the production samples in our hands and they are excellent models. I have posted photos of each version on the photos page. Chuck will be at the SP Historical and Technical Society meet at the end of the month in Sacramento with the models for your review. Many of the versions are nearly sold out get your orders in so you don’t miss out. The economy baggage cars have some never before modeled detail on them and the sleepers are beautiful.

  1. You are offering the PRR Imperial Range and Imperial Terrace in the SP Golden State scheme. There were three other PRR similar cars – Imperial Park, Imperial Pass, and Imperial Point – which were painted in the Pullman pool two tone gray scheme for use in transcontinental service with the Santa Fe. Photo and diagram in the PRRH&TS painting and lettering book. Same cars, different scheme. These cars stayed in two tone gray for over a decade. Consider offering them? Need reservations through a dealer? How many to justify this scheme for production at same time as the Golden State scheme cars? Imperial Range and Imperial Terrace were also in the same two tone gray for a year or so prior to getting the Golden State red/silver scheme – see same PRRH&TS book for the information.
