  1. Gentlemen;
I am a retail customer and collector of the New York Central, and am wondering if you plan to include any NYC E-7 and or E-8’s in this project announcement?
    Jeffrey

    • Hello Jeffrey, Thank for your interest. We are working on adding a special edition NYC E7 AA set in conjunction with The Caboose in Wolcott, Ct. to our E unit project. Watch this web site for updates.

      Thank you
      Ed

      • Ed; Thanks for the info, I spoke with The Caboose and reserved one of your special edition NYC E-7’s this afternoon. One more question if I may, are there any plans to include the NYC conventional two tone grey/ lightening stripe painted E-7 and E-8’s in this announcement, or just staying with the speical edition NYC E-7 AA?

  2. I think the NYC black E-7 AA in conjunction with caboose hobbies is an excellent choice. I would also like to see the NYC E-7 AB done in the reverse two tone gray as they were delivered in 1945.

  3. I have been corresponding with Chuck and I have got a commitment from him to produce the Southern Railway E-8s as they ran in the Southern Crescent service. (From 1977-79)
They would be factory painted and detailed as per the real units.

This project will only become a reality if there are enough reservations to justify their production. (And they will only be built at the number reserved-not one more)

There will be 8 unit numbers available:
    6900, UTI #5374-1
    6901, UTI #5374-2
    6904, UTI #5374-3
    6916, UTI #5374-4
    6909, UTI #5374-5
    6911, UTI #5374-6
    6913, UTI #5374-7
    6914, UTI #5374-8

If interested, please email or call and make your reservation(s) with:
    Roland Curtis, General Manager, BRASSTRAINS.COM / Dan’s Train Depot, 344 Cypress Rd. -Ocala, FL 34472, PH. (352) 292-4116 – FX. (352) 292-4122, rcurtis@brasstrains.com
For those that have ever wanted one this is the time to act!
Call SOON as the window of opportunity is limited (Needs to be finalized soon), but remember the run needs to have sufficient reservations before it will get the go ahead for production and all the details released.

The Southern E-8s in brass have not been produced since 1994 (And not factory painted) and for sure are not going to come available anywhere else any time soon.
Share this information with everyone that you want, as the more people that buy the greater chance of this run becoming a reality.

    Thanks for your time,
    Rahl Smith

  4. HELLO, PLEASE BUILD THE UNION PACIFIC EMD E-8 AND THE E-9 UNITS. PLEASE BUILD THE B.N.GREEN AND WHITE HOCKET STICK ON THE SIDE OF CARS AND THE G.N. BIG SKY BLUE AND WHITE CARS. THANKS FOR YOUR MODELS. BEST OF LUCK, MACK

  5. You show incorrectly in your list the KCS E-7s were acquired by B&M. Actually they were purchased seconhand from MEC (Maine Central). I am interested in purchasing one of these, when do you suspect they will be produced?

      • I received my KCS E7s recently. The models look great, However, in spite of my email back in 2013 notifying you of the error in your list regarding the actual previous owner of the KCS units (incorrectly listed as B&M), the label on the box still lists the previous owner as B&M, instead of the actual previous owner, MEC.
